Organic Natural Sodium Bicarb
Organic Naturally Harvested [Aluminium Free] Food and USP Grade Sodium Bicarbonate

Few suppliers of Sodium Bicarb could boast that their product is of Natural origin, and fewer still could lay claim to a Natural Bicarb that is also Organic, but this product is recognised as Organic in the USA by OMRI; a leading USA and Canadian Organic Certifier!

From generation to generation Sodium Bicarbonate has earned a reputation as an absolute necessity in many a household. Affectionately known as Bicarb, or baking soda, and it is accepted as a safe, versatile, environmental friendly all-round household product with a multitude of uses ! Much of the available Bicarb is a man-made product, not Natural and certainly not Organic!   You can also combine this product in the bath with magnesium.

Organic Super-Natural Sodium Bicarbonate is harvested from deep underground ancient mineral deposit of Naturally occurring Sodium Carbonate & Bicarbonate. The mix is brought to the surface where a simple filtering, refining and curing process produces a premium Food & USP Grade Aluminium Free Sodium Bicarbonate.

There you have it, a simple production from nature to package !

Just some of the endless list of uses for Sodium Bicarbonate

Take a refreshing and relaxing bath !
If added to your bath, it will relax aching muscles by neutralizing lactic acid in the muscles, while softening the skin.  For a pampering and revitalizing bath soak, fill your bath tub with warm water and dissolve 2 cups of Sodium Bicarbonate in it - a 10 to 15 minute soak will make you feel regenerated at once !

In the laundry:
You can freshen up your laundry by adding half a cup bi-carb soda to the rinse cycle of your laundry.  This will give your sheets and towels an odour free and fresh feeling.  Baking soda in your washing machine is known to boost the strength of liquid laundry detergents, making your clothes come out cleaner, brighter and fresher.

As a cleaner:
Baking soda can also act as a very mild abrasive cleaner, perfect for removing stains from your sink, fridge, stove top, dishwasher, bench tops, bathroom tiles, tubs or shower recess.  Cleans stained tea and coffee cups.

The #1 deodorizer:
Actually eliminates odours rather than just covering them up.  ~To eliminate odours from smelly shoes sprinkle Bicarb of Soda inside shoes in the evening - shake out in the morning.  ~Sprinkle on your carpet before vacuuming to eliminate food and pet odours.  ~Keep an open box of baking soda in the back of your refrigerator and in your pantry - replace every 3 months or so.  ~Run your dishwasher or washing machine through its cycle with Bicarb of Soda in it instead of soap to give it a good cleaning, and to reduce odours.

Keep your Drains clean and free flowing by putting 4 tablespoons of bicarb of soda in them each week.  Flush the bicarb down with hot water.

Sodium bicarbonate is a secondary product of Soda Ash, derived from natural deposits or man-made.
The natural deposits are called Trona and are reported to be ancient mineral deposits in the Green River, Wyoming region 450km below the surface that was once covered by an enormous lake.  As the lake evaporated it left behind a deposit of Trona between sandstone and shale said to be so large it could provide the world for thousands years.

The Trona Ore is brought to the surface, refined into slurry containing both Soda Ash and Sodium Bicarbonate. The crystals and liquid are separated in a centrifuge. The crystals are then dissolved in a bicarbonate solution and then filtered to remove any non-soluble material. Purified carbon dioxide is fed into the filtered solution with the resulting reaction forming Sodium Bicarbonate. The Sodium Bicarbonate is held in holding bins where it cures, then packaged and shipped.
