Did you know that most raw almonds are actually 'pasteurised' despite claiming to be 'raw'? Some retailers will try to get around this by calling them 'natural' almonds.
Pasteurisation involves either steaming the almonds (exposing them to super heated steam under high pressure) or fumigating them with Propylene Oxide (PPO). Our raw pesticide-free unpasteurised almonds have not undergone either of these processes, so they are truly 'raw'.
This means they don't have the dusty texture that many other almonds have and that they have the sweetest flavour.
